Alexandra Carver Dies

I haven't posted in a few days because I've been kind of bored with the show, but today's episode was packed with action.

Abe and Lexie sat in their garden reminiscing, with Alexandra looking weaker than ever. While I had been fast forwarding most of the mushy scenes with her, I had a feeling she might die today, so I watched the scenes.

She died at peace and happy in her husbands arms, and it was a very sad and touching scene when Abe realized that she was gone.

On the plus side, after the funeral is over, we should be done with the incessant crying!!!

Also on today's episode, Melanie Layton was kidnapped by Gaby's stalker-for-hire.

Where do you find those anyway? Stalkers'R'us?

I had read that she would be leaving the show, but I sure hope they don't kill her off, she's grown on me since joining the cast a few years ago.

Plus, Nick is suppose to be back soon, so I would have liked to see how that reunion would go down!!!

Poor Chad was beside himself when he received an email that was seemingly sent by Melanie letting him know that she can't forgive him and is leaving for Europe... Will anyone even really know to look for her?  Surely her father, Dr. Daniel will know something's up and ring some alarms.  Well hopefully anyway.

They kept focusing on Gaby's evil eyes, so it seems she was in on the plan. This girl needs some serious help, she is completely off her rocker!  Wait until Rafe finds out what she's done... Little girl, you got some serious explaining to do. 


It may take a while, but this is Salem, everything comes out eventually.

Will Horton Arrested For Dimera Murder

Today on Days, Will was arrested for the murder of Stefano Dimera when tests showed that he did have gun powder residue on his hands, proving that he has recently shot a firearm.

Roman said he'd been the only suspect to test positive, but that's bizarre, since EJ had discharged a weapon on the walls of the Dimera mansion earlier the night of the killing...

???

I don't think it's either of them, that would be too easy. I'm telling you, it's not one of the obvious suspects.

Our killer used gloves, stands to reason his or her fingerprints aren't necessarily on the gun.

In other news, Alexandra still isn't dead. And while she may be a great actress, I might kill myself if these dang crying scenes don't end!!!

The Investigation of Stefano Dimera's Murder

I find it strange, considering every thing Stefano has done to him and his family, that Roman is so adamant about running this investigation "By the book."

Still, today Roman made the rounds with a new officer specially assigned to the case, to ensure he follows all the rules.

First he dropped in on Abe, but it doesn't seem to be him.  Although with Alexandra gone, there won't be much of a story line for him, so it would be an interesting way for him to leave the show.

Speaking of, she's still not dead.  She's been holding her head more and more every day, but that's about it.  Now the crying has shifted to crying about her father, but still, I've had all I can take of sob scenes involving Lexie and death!

The commander then went on to question Kate, who cried us a river about how much she loved him and how sad she is that he's gone.  Yeah sure, whatever Kate. After Roman left, it started to sound like she was going to confess to Ian, but the show ended with him asking her point blank if she was the one who killed Stefano, and she didn't answer, but her face was riddled with guilt.  I suspect she'll only admit to having visited and threatened him.  It's too soon to reveal the killer.  This is Days of our Lives... Things move slowly here.

Last but not least was a call on EJ, where Roman confronted him about how passive he's being about the investigation.  "The EJ Dimera we know would be banging on the police station door demanding justice and on TV offering a reward.  I can only think of one reason why you're not doing that.  You already know who the killer is, don't you?"

I'm still betting on an unknown suspect.  Remember, there was a glove.

Who Killed Stefano Dimera?

I called it weeks ago, I just knew we were setting up for a who-dun-it in Salem.  Twenty five years of watching, and this isn't my first rodeo.  I knew exactly where the writers were heading with this.

Stefano Dimera was shot at the end of Friday's episode, and they took the body away in a body bag.  It seems like the old man is truly dead, but nothing's ever final on DOOL.

The Salem police department has an astounding eight sets of prints on the murder weapon.  Oh yes, you read right, eight different people showed up that night to threaten Stefano, and eight different people were dumb enough to leave their prints on a gun lying around the house.  Two of those people are police officers, and one is an ex-cop, mercenary and ISA agent.

It's more than a little bit of an insult to our intelligence as an audience, but this is Days of our Lives, and it's not the first time we've been asked to believe something so ludicrous.

So our present suspects are EJ, Will, John, Marlena, Bo, Hope, Kate and Abe, but when the shot was fired, our killer was wearing gloves, so it could actually be any number of people, such as Ian McAllister.

Who do you think did it?


PS: Alexandra's still not dead.  On the bright side, there were no sappy mushy scenes about her dying today.  :)

Nicole Gets Caught By Daniel Jonas

Alexandra still isn't dead.  More boohoo scenes. Blah blah blah

ANYWAY, 

The big paternity test happened today, and if Nicole wasn't determined to keep EJ in the dark before, she certainly is now.

His pathetic threats to declare her an unfit mother and take the child to be raised as a true Dimera (ahem) made him look like a real jerk.  Nicole of course was shaking in her boots, she seriously needs to work on her poker face!!!

Even more frantic to keep EJ from knowing the truth, Dr Daniel walked in to his office at the end of the episode to find her sitting at his desk, switching the labels.

Will he support her, or report her? I predict he will support her, turn his head and act like nothing happened... What do you think???

Also!!!  Things are heating up for the upcoming who-dun-it in Salem.

Today's suspects include Abe, who's convinced Stefano is the reason Alexandra is dying, and Will, who held a gun and said "We'll see who laughs last, Stefano."

You'd think he would have learned his lesson by now.  Lucas went to jail in order to protect Will when he shot EJ... Who does he think will go to jail for him now?

The scene when Will finally forgave Sami was very touching.  I was happy to see their issues finally resolved.

Somehow I doubt the peace will last, as the episode ended with Will confessing he's the reason Rafe found out about her indiscretion with EJ.

I suspect Sami will be furious and not want to speak to him for a while... but I'm hoping she'll be a better mother than that.

What's your problem?  I'm aloud to hope aren't I?

In other news, Lexie's still not dead.  Although the scenes with EJ today were mostly about his situation with his ex-father Stefano, not about her dying... of course they did throw that in at the end. Boo.

Carrie's Pregnant: What does this mean for Rafe?

So the test results are back, and Carrie is officially pregnant.  Of course, being the angel she is, this puts a hold on her telling Austin that she is in love with another man.  Being the total angel that he is, is broken hearted, but he understands.

Thing is, they aren't really angels are they?  After all the years of treating Sami like she was the devil for having tried to come between she and Austin, Carrie now wants to leave him for her husband.  Granted, Sami cheated on Rafe first, but Rafe was falling in love with Carrie and KISSED Carrie before he ever even knew about Sami's indiscretion.  And who's to say he wouldn't have tried to forgive her had Carrie not been in the picture?

Of course, it's just a matter of time until they give in to their desires and start a torrid affair.  You can only deny the heart for so long, and living a lie is no way to live!

I fast forwarded through most of the scenes with Alexandra Carver, I'm so tired of these never ending goodbyes.  Just die already.  I'm sorry, did that sound heartless?  Well maybe it is, but she isn't real, so it's cool.  Today she said "it's getting worse, I can feel it.  My time's almost up, and I'm not ready."

Too bad, so sad, I am.

Will told EJ that Stefano forced him to reveal the truth about his affair with Sami to Rafe, so that Nicole would leave him.  When he confronted his not-really-father, he was very unapologetic, stating that Nicole was bad for him and that maybe there was a reason that he keeps ending up in bed with Sami... yes, it's because they are suppose to be together!!!

In other news, the budding romance between Cameron (new comer hotty) and Abigail continues, much to Celeste's chagrin. They shared their first kiss today, it was pretty cute.

Today's suspects for the upcoming who-dun-it?  Bo held his gun while saying that Stefano would get what's coming to him and EJ vowed to destroy his life.


It's still a toss-up to me, who do you think will pull the trigger?

Marlena Evans to Kill Stefano?

Today's episode was kind of a bore.

Bo and Hope made out all episode while discussing how lucky they were to have each other and how much they hate Stefano... ya, okay, we know.  Thank goodness for the fast forward button... barf

Gaby's still trying to break up Melanie and Chad, and is just annoying.  The whole stalker thing doesn't hold up one bit, yet nobody is calling her on it.  Give me a break.

And Alexandra Carver STILL isn't dead.  If she really is going to kick the bucket, can we get on with it already???  I'm so sick of watching crying scenes!!!

Marlena caught John buying the gun (further setup for the upcoming who-dun-it)...  and made him get rid of it.

Just as I was ready to call the episode a wash, Marlena's last line implied that she may take matters into her own hands.  Another suspect to add to an ever growing list.

On the upside, if Marlena goes to jail, we won't have to watch anymore kissing scenes of her and John.  I don't know who's at fault, but they always seem repulsed when they have to make-out.  It's kind of gross to watch, I wonder if the actors don't get along.

Alexandra Carver to die?

So Celeste the psychic mother rolls into town on the same day Lexie gets a terrible headache to tell her daughter that she's in grave danger.

As a side note, I'd like to say that I've never much cared for the character of Celeste, but I like this actress even less than the last.

The diagnosis is bleak. She has a brain tumor that's rapidly progressing and is inoperable. The best specialist in the world was immediately called in, as they are always conveniently easy to find in Salem. The final word is given: Alexandra Carver will die.

Now, I could spoil the fun and go see if her contract is up, but then what's the point of watching???


Although saying I've been watching is a stretch, since I've been hitting the fast forward button a lot lately as I've had enough of the crying scenes. How depressing. And it could all be for nothing, because last minute miracle cures are known to happen on Days of our Lives!

If she actually does die, she would be one of the very few who have actually died in Salem, asides from the older members of the original cast.

I can only think of Isabella (John's first wife, Brady's mother and Victor's daughter) and Zack (son of Bo and Hope, killed by his sister Chelsea while she wasn't paying attention to the road).

Am I missing anyone?
