Who Will Kill Stefano Dimera?

Our up-coming who-dun-it is heating up in Salem, with today's episode being mostly about setting up the suspects.

Will, John Black, Marlena, Bo, Hope or EJ. I had pegged Brady as a suspect a couple of weeks ago when I first predicted Stefano would soon die. Well die Salem style, anyway. Stefano's never really dead, he's the Phoenix, and always rises from the ashes.

The episode ended with EJ brandishing a gun in his ex-dad's face, but it ain't over until you hear the bang, and I don't believe it will be him in the end.

The rest of the episode included scenes with Gaby and her stalker for hire and Nicole and Dr Daniel making out.

I've been hoping they might get together... Guess Daniel wasn't too angry about the test switching after all!

Nicole Gets Caught By Daniel Jonas

Alexandra still isn't dead.  More boohoo scenes. Blah blah blah

ANYWAY, 

The big paternity test happened today, and if Nicole wasn't determined to keep EJ in the dark before, she certainly is now.

His pathetic threats to declare her an unfit mother and take the child to be raised as a true Dimera (ahem) made him look like a real jerk.  Nicole of course was shaking in her boots, she seriously needs to work on her poker face!!!

Even more frantic to keep EJ from knowing the truth, Dr Daniel walked in to his office at the end of the episode to find her sitting at his desk, switching the labels.

Will he support her, or report her? I predict he will support her, turn his head and act like nothing happened... What do you think???

Also!!!  Things are heating up for the upcoming who-dun-it in Salem.

Today's suspects include Abe, who's convinced Stefano is the reason Alexandra is dying, and Will, who held a gun and said "We'll see who laughs last, Stefano."

You'd think he would have learned his lesson by now.  Lucas went to jail in order to protect Will when he shot EJ... Who does he think will go to jail for him now?

The scene when Will finally forgave Sami was very touching.  I was happy to see their issues finally resolved.

Somehow I doubt the peace will last, as the episode ended with Will confessing he's the reason Rafe found out about her indiscretion with EJ.

I suspect Sami will be furious and not want to speak to him for a while... but I'm hoping she'll be a better mother than that.

What's your problem?  I'm aloud to hope aren't I?

In other news, Lexie's still not dead.  Although the scenes with EJ today were mostly about his situation with his ex-father Stefano, not about her dying... of course they did throw that in at the end. Boo.

Dressing for Succes Like Kate Dimera

Having watched Days of Our Lives for over 25 years now, I always have something to say about the fashions.


My favorite by far is Kate Dimera.  She always looks so put together, and they always find just the right thing for her to wear.  The only thing I've been questioning is the blue streak in her hair for the past year... they do realize she's over 50 right?

Carrie's Pregnant: What does this mean for Rafe?

So the test results are back, and Carrie is officially pregnant.  Of course, being the angel she is, this puts a hold on her telling Austin that she is in love with another man.  Being the total angel that he is, is broken hearted, but he understands.

Thing is, they aren't really angels are they?  After all the years of treating Sami like she was the devil for having tried to come between she and Austin, Carrie now wants to leave him for her husband.  Granted, Sami cheated on Rafe first, but Rafe was falling in love with Carrie and KISSED Carrie before he ever even knew about Sami's indiscretion.  And who's to say he wouldn't have tried to forgive her had Carrie not been in the picture?

Of course, it's just a matter of time until they give in to their desires and start a torrid affair.  You can only deny the heart for so long, and living a lie is no way to live!

I fast forwarded through most of the scenes with Alexandra Carver, I'm so tired of these never ending goodbyes.  Just die already.  I'm sorry, did that sound heartless?  Well maybe it is, but she isn't real, so it's cool.  Today she said "it's getting worse, I can feel it.  My time's almost up, and I'm not ready."

Too bad, so sad, I am.

Will told EJ that Stefano forced him to reveal the truth about his affair with Sami to Rafe, so that Nicole would leave him.  When he confronted his not-really-father, he was very unapologetic, stating that Nicole was bad for him and that maybe there was a reason that he keeps ending up in bed with Sami... yes, it's because they are suppose to be together!!!

In other news, the budding romance between Cameron (new comer hotty) and Abigail continues, much to Celeste's chagrin. They shared their first kiss today, it was pretty cute.

Today's suspects for the upcoming who-dun-it?  Bo held his gun while saying that Stefano would get what's coming to him and EJ vowed to destroy his life.


It's still a toss-up to me, who do you think will pull the trigger?

Marlena Evans to Kill Stefano?

Today's episode was kind of a bore.

Bo and Hope made out all episode while discussing how lucky they were to have each other and how much they hate Stefano... ya, okay, we know.  Thank goodness for the fast forward button... barf

Gaby's still trying to break up Melanie and Chad, and is just annoying.  The whole stalker thing doesn't hold up one bit, yet nobody is calling her on it.  Give me a break.

And Alexandra Carver STILL isn't dead.  If she really is going to kick the bucket, can we get on with it already???  I'm so sick of watching crying scenes!!!

Marlena caught John buying the gun (further setup for the upcoming who-dun-it)...  and made him get rid of it.

Just as I was ready to call the episode a wash, Marlena's last line implied that she may take matters into her own hands.  Another suspect to add to an ever growing list.

On the upside, if Marlena goes to jail, we won't have to watch anymore kissing scenes of her and John.  I don't know who's at fault, but they always seem repulsed when they have to make-out.  It's kind of gross to watch, I wonder if the actors don't get along.

Stefano Dimera Arrested

When they arrested Stefano on yesterday`s episode, I wasn't much of a believer.

What I didn't see coming is the creative way in which they got him off the hook this time.  Working with the CIA to fight terrorism.  Oh come on, Stefano Dimera is a terrorist!

I'm still convinced we're setting up for a who dun-it.  Every one will be so outraged that he's gotten away with his crimes once again... someone will surely shoot him.

I'd be kind of sad if he is killed, Stefano is one of the most interesting characters on Days of our Lives.  He is the quintessential villain, and Ian McAllister is no replacement as Salem's leading bad guy.

Sami and Lucas React to Will's news

Following yesterdays big announcement,

Sami and Lucas' reactions to Will being gay were disappointing.

I know Sami's character is notoriously self centered, but she's also usually a good mother, and I couldn't believe she would walk out on him at that moment.  As for Lucas, it wasn't as bad as I was expecting, but he sure could have done a better job of hiding his disappointment.

What got me the most is neither one of them even tried to hug the kid.

If that day ever comes, I'll take my kid and hug him close, let him know that nothing's changed and ask him what we should wear to the parade.

Of course, when Sami left, she ran smack dab into EJ, who actually gave her some good advice.  I'm telling you, they're starting to set him up as good EJ again.  Lucas will make some flip comments about Will's sexuality, Sami will get offended, and run straight into EJ's arms.

Probably the day after Nicole forgives EJ and admits the baby she is carrying is his.  Poor Nicky.

John to bite the bullet?

"I'm sorry my friend, but your little game is over" said the big bad arms dealer as he pointed his gun straight at John's chest. "I know who you all are and I know what you're up to."

End scene, tune in tomorrow. As if they'll actually get shot. How many times can one fake die in a week?

I know what you're thinking: this is Days, anything is possible! Very true, but I predict no one will be harmed. Though I'd love to see the looks on the doctors faces when they wheel in a supposedly dead patient!

Will Tells Sami and Lucas He's Gay

Today's Days of our Lives episode finished with a cliffhanger: Will finally telling his parents he's gay. In an explosion of emotion, he yelled the words at them and the scene ended with their shocked faces.

I predict Lucas will react poorly, based on the way he acted when he saw Will fooling around with the guy in the bar.

I'm hoping Sami will be supportive, she's my favorite character and I would be really disappointed if the writers go that way.

Opposing sides may cause a rift between the newly reunited love birds... Perhaps an opening for EJ to swoop in?

Never a dull moment in Salem, at least not where Sami's involved!

Alexandra Carver to die?

So Celeste the psychic mother rolls into town on the same day Lexie gets a terrible headache to tell her daughter that she's in grave danger.

As a side note, I'd like to say that I've never much cared for the character of Celeste, but I like this actress even less than the last.

The diagnosis is bleak. She has a brain tumor that's rapidly progressing and is inoperable. The best specialist in the world was immediately called in, as they are always conveniently easy to find in Salem. The final word is given: Alexandra Carver will die.

Now, I could spoil the fun and go see if her contract is up, but then what's the point of watching???


Although saying I've been watching is a stretch, since I've been hitting the fast forward button a lot lately as I've had enough of the crying scenes. How depressing. And it could all be for nothing, because last minute miracle cures are known to happen on Days of our Lives!

If she actually does die, she would be one of the very few who have actually died in Salem, asides from the older members of the original cast.

I can only think of Isabella (John's first wife, Brady's mother and Victor's daughter) and Zack (son of Bo and Hope, killed by his sister Chelsea while she wasn't paying attention to the road).

Am I missing anyone?

Where are Shawn D and Belle?

So, all of Belle and Shawn D's parents have died, but at the service on yesterday's episode, excuses were made for every family member except them.

Even recently, when Bo was near death, they spoke of Zack and Siera, but never mentionned Shawn D.

I've been hoping for their return for a while now, but I think my dog is dead, because the writers and producers seem to have forgotten about them.

Ah sucky poo.

*edit* Of course, I posted this and then went to watch today's episode.  Belle and Shawn D. were mentioned.  No hope of them coming back though, because they conveniently get to know the truth.

Six People Dead in Salem

Marlena and John.  Bo and Hope.  Rafe and Carrie.  All dead.  Except they're not.

Who does that?!  So they all decided to go into hiding and let all of their loved ones believe that six family members have been murdered?!

Can you imagine if that happened to you?  OK, so the person comes back and you're thrilled to see them again, but what about the incredible traumatic time you went through?  It would be like:

"OMG you're alive!!!  I'm so happy to see you!!!  How could you let me believe that you were dead?!  You jerk, come here so I can kill you myself!"

Of course, this is all in an effort to catch Stefano Dimera, the root of all evil in Salem, USA.  A small town that has every amenity of the biggest of cities?  All this for some mystery coin, that holds the secret behind all that evil.  Da da dum (ominous music)

As I've been watching these past few days, it seems to me like we're setting up for a good old fashion DOOL who-dun-it?  Every one is out for blood, and the old man's about to bite the big one.  Well for a while anyway.  No one ever really dies in Salem unless the actor does, except for Isabella.  She must have really pissed someone off.

Anyway, I digress.

The suspects?  So far we have Will Horton, Brady Black, Victor Kiriakis and EJ Not-Dimera-Anymore, but I'm sure a few more will be added to throw us off.

I shouldn't have gotten myself started on the whole EJ's not a Dimera thing, because that story line is starting to insult my Days of our Lives intelligence.

Kristen and Tony were adopted, and he loved them just as much and used Tony as his right hand man.  Why would he turn his back on EJ after finding out he's not his biological dad?  I'm hoping the writers have some way to explain this, because if they don't it's just plain dumb.  My one theory is that he's actually discovered that EJ's real father is in fact a Horton.  (They can't really make him a Brady, that would make him a relative to Sami) Which makes EJ the enemy... so I guess it would make sense.

Well by sense, I mean make sense Days style.
