Stefano Dimera is Alive!

When the episode ended yesterday, Ian was about to pull back a curtain to reveal what he had that would make EJ want to help him.
I was certain that he would have kidnapped the children, but we saw Johnny in the very first scene today.
Cut to EJ and Ian: he pulls back the curtain, and there sits... Stefano Dimera, alive and well!

Ah you, Days of Our Lives writers, you got us good, now didn't you?
Not really though, we all knew he would be back!
What's with the Hannibal Lecter mask though? Did Stefano recently become a cannibal?
All this because Ian was after that damn half coin. I was over that thing ten minutes after they showed it the first time... Do we really have to do this again?

Turns out, the letter from Alice Horton was a fake, and Ian is the one who made it seem like EJ was not a Dimera. What a relief it will be to him that the Phoenix's blood does run through his veins after all!

How long will EJ be stuck? Will Sami think he abandoned her? Is this a second chance for Sami and Rafe? I hope not. I've said this before, but I really think Sami and EJ are hot hot hot together!
Much love,
Felicia

Days of Our Lives Interrupted By The Summer Olympics

Stupid summer Olympics.

Just as things are getting good, in come the Summer Olympics, and Days of Our Lives will not be seen for two straight weeks!  Two weeks!

I've always hated the Olympics for messing with my TV programming, but I honestly don't remember DOOL being interrupted for more than a few days at a time.

This is almost like a season finale, and the writers sure decided to treat it as such.

Friday's episode was action packed, with more happening in a single episode than often happens over the course of a month!

Of course, the huge explosion at the very end of the episode, which showed half of Salem blowing up is the major story.  Will Sami survive the fall from the warehouse balcony?  Will Dr. Dan be okay after being smashed to bits by the world's biggest chandelier?  What about Abby plummeting to her premature death in an elevator?  Will Nicole's baby be OK?  It better be.  I can't stand to see this poor woman lose another child!

How will those in the tunnels fair?  The explosion happened moments after Brady found Melanie, and he through himself on her, forming a human shield around her, but what will happen to him?

And what of Gaby, Chad and her lunatic stalker for hire Andrew, who seemed to be at the epicenter of the explosion?

In the real world, it's unlikely that any of these people would survive, but this is Days of Our Lives, and I highly doubt half the cast is leaving the show on the same day.  I could scour the internet for spoilers, checking out who's contract is up and such, but I don't like knowing what's going to happen in advance.

Half the fun is trying to predict where things are going, and congratulating yourself on being so astute when you happen to get it right!

Once the dust settles and we figure out who made it, who died and who's in the hospital, there will still be many other issues to deal with.

Who is trying to frame EJ Dimera for Stefano's murder?  I was thinking Ian McAllister, but I'm starting to have a sneaking suspicion that maybe, just maybe... it's Stefano himself.  You heard it here first.

In the mean time, how much trouble will Sami be in over trying to help EJ escape, so he can "clear his name?"  Well, this was one heck of a genius plan, now wasn't it?  (She said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.)

I am excited to see that it seems like this means the end of the dull-as-a-doorknob relationship between Lucas and Sami, and that this should mean she'll soon be back with EJ where she belongs.

Oh and oh what fun we'll have when the sh*t finally hits the fan for Gaby?!  I know Melanie's supposed to leave the show, but I really hope it won't be in a body bag, because I'd really like to see the scene when she finds out what her alleged friend did just to get her hands on Chad.

Can you say C-R-A-Z-Y?

Anyway, it will be a whole two weeks before me know anything... Boo.  Oh well, it will give me a chance to catch up on the close to 100 hours of TV I have waiting on the PVR!

I guess to the stars and staff of Days of Our Lives... Enjoy your vacation!

Who Killed Stefano Dimera?

I called it weeks ago, I just knew we were setting up for a who-dun-it in Salem.  Twenty five years of watching, and this isn't my first rodeo.  I knew exactly where the writers were heading with this.

Stefano Dimera was shot at the end of Friday's episode, and they took the body away in a body bag.  It seems like the old man is truly dead, but nothing's ever final on DOOL.

The Salem police department has an astounding eight sets of prints on the murder weapon.  Oh yes, you read right, eight different people showed up that night to threaten Stefano, and eight different people were dumb enough to leave their prints on a gun lying around the house.  Two of those people are police officers, and one is an ex-cop, mercenary and ISA agent.

It's more than a little bit of an insult to our intelligence as an audience, but this is Days of our Lives, and it's not the first time we've been asked to believe something so ludicrous.

So our present suspects are EJ, Will, John, Marlena, Bo, Hope, Kate and Abe, but when the shot was fired, our killer was wearing gloves, so it could actually be any number of people, such as Ian McAllister.

Who do you think did it?

PS: Alexandra's still not dead.  On the bright side, there were no sappy mushy scenes about her dying today.  :)

Who Will Kill Stefano Dimera?

Our up-coming who-dun-it is heating up in Salem, with today's episode being mostly about setting up the suspects.

Will, John Black, Marlena, Bo, Hope or EJ. I had pegged Brady as a suspect a couple of weeks ago when I first predicted Stefano would soon die. Well die Salem style, anyway. Stefano's never really dead, he's the Phoenix, and always rises from the ashes.

The episode ended with EJ brandishing a gun in his ex-dad's face, but it ain't over until you hear the bang, and I don't believe it will be him in the end.

The rest of the episode included scenes with Gaby and her stalker for hire and Nicole and Dr Daniel making out.

I've been hoping they might get together... Guess Daniel wasn't too angry about the test switching after all!

Who do you think will pull the trigger... And when?

Six People Dead in Salem

Marlena and John.  Bo and Hope.  Rafe and Carrie.  All dead.  Except they're not.

Who does that?!  So they all decided to go into hiding and let all of their loved ones believe that six family members have been murdered?!

Can you imagine if that happened to you?  OK, so the person comes back and you're thrilled to see them again, but what about the incredible traumatic time you went through?  It would be like:

"OMG you're alive!!!  I'm so happy to see you!!!  How could you let me believe that you were dead?!  You jerk, come here so I can kill you myself!"

Of course, this is all in an effort to catch Stefano Dimera, the root of all evil in Salem, USA.  A small town that has every amenity of the biggest of cities?  All this for some mystery coin, that holds the secret behind all that evil.  Da da dum (ominous music)

As I've been watching these past few days, it seems to me like we're setting up for a good old fashion DOOL who-dun-it?  Every one is out for blood, and the old man's about to bite the big one.  Well for a while anyway.  No one ever really dies in Salem unless the actor does, except for Isabella.  She must have really pissed someone off.

Anyway, I digress.

The suspects?  So far we have Will Horton, Brady Black, Victor Kiriakis and EJ Not-Dimera-Anymore, but I'm sure a few more will be added to throw us off.

I shouldn't have gotten myself started on the whole EJ's not a Dimera thing, because that story line is starting to insult my Days of our Lives intelligence.

Kristen and Tony were adopted, and he loved them just as much and used Tony as his right hand man.  Why would he turn his back on EJ after finding out he's not his biological dad?  I'm hoping the writers have some way to explain this, because if they don't it's just plain dumb.  My one theory is that he's actually discovered that EJ's real father is in fact a Horton.  (They can't really make him a Brady, that would make him a relative to Sami) Which makes EJ the enemy... so I guess it would make sense.

Well by sense, I mean make sense Days style.

Catch me tomorrow for more DOOL updates, comments, rants and laughs.
