Stefano Dimera is Alive!

When the episode ended yesterday, Ian was about to pull back a curtain to reveal what he had that would make EJ want to help him.
I was certain that he would have kidnapped the children, but we saw Johnny in the very first scene today.
Cut to EJ and Ian: he pulls back the curtain, and there sits... Stefano Dimera, alive and well!

Ah you, Days of Our Lives writers, you got us good, now didn't you?
Not really though, we all knew he would be back!
What's with the Hannibal Lecter mask though? Did Stefano recently become a cannibal?
All this because Ian was after that damn half coin. I was over that thing ten minutes after they showed it the first time... Do we really have to do this again?

Turns out, the letter from Alice Horton was a fake, and Ian is the one who made it seem like EJ was not a Dimera. What a relief it will be to him that the Phoenix's blood does run through his veins after all!

How long will EJ be stuck? Will Sami think he abandoned her? Is this a second chance for Sami and Rafe? I hope not. I've said this before, but I really think Sami and EJ are hot hot hot together!
Much love,
Felicia

Ian McAllister Killed Stefano Dimera on Days of Our Lives!

There's so much going on in Salem!

It seemed clear that today's post should be titled "2 dead, several injured in Salem explosion", but that breaking news was blown out of the water when Ian announced to Kate that he is the one who murdered Stefano Dimera!

Of course, the episode ended at that point and we'll have to wait until tomorrow to hear more.  I'd just like to point out that I singled him out as my prime suspect from the get go.  This isn't my first who-dun-it in Salem, and it probably won't be my last!

Now EJ, Sami and Will just need to find proof so they can clear EJ's name.  Will Kate help her former step-son?  This is far from over, and odds are the truth won't be revealed until EJ's about to get fried.  It happened to John, and to Sami... I can't think of anyone else, can you?

In other news...

The Salem explosion has claimed two lives so far:  Brady Black's fiancee, Madison, and Jack Deveraux, husband to Jennifer and father to Abigail and JJ, whom we haven't seen in years.  Could his fathers death be what brings him back to Salem?  We'll just have to wait and see.

The scene after the elevator Jack was in plummeted was quite touching, my eyes teared up as Abigail screamed out in pure anguish.  The acting has actually been quite impressive this week.

Brady is still in the tunnels with Melanie, so he has no idea his beloved Madison is gone forever.  On what was suppose to be their wedding day, I don't know how Brady will survive.  Let's hope he doesn't turn back to drugs.

He and Mel finally broke through the wall that had them trapped at the end of the episode, just as Chad and Gaby showed up.  Melanie and Brady were hugging, and Chad just looked jealous.  It was actually kind of weird.  Why in the world would he be jealous?  She's just gone through a terrible ordeal, and she was hugging her friend.

Probably will turn out to be nothing, when the scene starts again I'm sure Chad will be thrilled to find his darling Melanie.

Can't wait to see Gaby squirm when the questions start!

Days of Our Lives Interrupted By The Summer Olympics

Stupid summer Olympics.

Just as things are getting good, in come the Summer Olympics, and Days of Our Lives will not be seen for two straight weeks!  Two weeks!

I've always hated the Olympics for messing with my TV programming, but I honestly don't remember DOOL being interrupted for more than a few days at a time.

This is almost like a season finale, and the writers sure decided to treat it as such.

Friday's episode was action packed, with more happening in a single episode than often happens over the course of a month!

Of course, the huge explosion at the very end of the episode, which showed half of Salem blowing up is the major story.  Will Sami survive the fall from the warehouse balcony?  Will Dr. Dan be okay after being smashed to bits by the world's biggest chandelier?  What about Abby plummeting to her premature death in an elevator?  Will Nicole's baby be OK?  It better be.  I can't stand to see this poor woman lose another child!

How will those in the tunnels fair?  The explosion happened moments after Brady found Melanie, and he through himself on her, forming a human shield around her, but what will happen to him?

And what of Gaby, Chad and her lunatic stalker for hire Andrew, who seemed to be at the epicenter of the explosion?

In the real world, it's unlikely that any of these people would survive, but this is Days of Our Lives, and I highly doubt half the cast is leaving the show on the same day.  I could scour the internet for spoilers, checking out who's contract is up and such, but I don't like knowing what's going to happen in advance.

Half the fun is trying to predict where things are going, and congratulating yourself on being so astute when you happen to get it right!

Once the dust settles and we figure out who made it, who died and who's in the hospital, there will still be many other issues to deal with.

Who is trying to frame EJ Dimera for Stefano's murder?  I was thinking Ian McAllister, but I'm starting to have a sneaking suspicion that maybe, just maybe... it's Stefano himself.  You heard it here first.

In the mean time, how much trouble will Sami be in over trying to help EJ escape, so he can "clear his name?"  Well, this was one heck of a genius plan, now wasn't it?  (She said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.)

I am excited to see that it seems like this means the end of the dull-as-a-doorknob relationship between Lucas and Sami, and that this should mean she'll soon be back with EJ where she belongs.

Oh and oh what fun we'll have when the sh*t finally hits the fan for Gaby?!  I know Melanie's supposed to leave the show, but I really hope it won't be in a body bag, because I'd really like to see the scene when she finds out what her alleged friend did just to get her hands on Chad.

Can you say C-R-A-Z-Y?

Anyway, it will be a whole two weeks before me know anything... Boo.  Oh well, it will give me a chance to catch up on the close to 100 hours of TV I have waiting on the PVR!

I guess to the stars and staff of Days of Our Lives... Enjoy your vacation!

Did EJ Really Kill Stefano Dimera?

So the polygraph yesterday revealed that EJ was lying when he said he didn't kill his father, which Roman assumed means he is Salem's latest murderer.

However, we saw the guy who administered the test receive an envelope with a ton of cash in it, so it seems to me that there's no reason to believe EJ murdered his ex-father.

Who would pay him off to make EJ look bad? Who has access to that kind of cash?

An anonymous commentator suggested that perhaps Ian McAllister killed Stefano Dimera, and that he is EJ's real father.

Well, he certainly had the means. I like him as the potential murderer, but dang, I hope he's not poor EJ's father. The guy's even eviler* than Stefano... How unlucky can one guy be?

Speaking of Evil Ian, I really don't like this character. At least Stefano was a lovable villain. This guy just makes my skin crawl.

Who do you think did it?

*eviler: of the Stevenson dictionary, refers to being more evil than.

The Investigation of Stefano Dimera's Murder

I find it strange, considering every thing Stefano has done to him and his family, that Roman is so adamant about running this investigation "By the book."

Still, today Roman made the rounds with a new officer specially assigned to the case, to ensure he follows all the rules.

First he dropped in on Abe, but it doesn't seem to be him.  Although with Alexandra gone, there won't be much of a story line for him, so it would be an interesting way for him to leave the show.

Speaking of, she's still not dead.  She's been holding her head more and more every day, but that's about it.  Now the crying has shifted to crying about her father, but still, I've had all I can take of sob scenes involving Lexie and death!

The commander then went on to question Kate, who cried us a river about how much she loved him and how sad she is that he's gone.  Yeah sure, whatever Kate. After Roman left, it started to sound like she was going to confess to Ian, but the show ended with him asking her point blank if she was the one who killed Stefano, and she didn't answer, but her face was riddled with guilt.  I suspect she'll only admit to having visited and threatened him.  It's too soon to reveal the killer.  This is Days of our Lives... Things move slowly here.

Last but not least was a call on EJ, where Roman confronted him about how passive he's being about the investigation.  "The EJ Dimera we know would be banging on the police station door demanding justice and on TV offering a reward.  I can only think of one reason why you're not doing that.  You already know who the killer is, don't you?"

I'm still betting on an unknown suspect.  Remember, there was a glove.

Stefano Dimera Arrested

When they arrested Stefano on yesterday`s episode, I wasn't much of a believer.

What I didn't see coming is the creative way in which they got him off the hook this time.  Working with the CIA to fight terrorism.  Oh come on, Stefano Dimera is a terrorist!

I'm still convinced we're setting up for a who dun-it.  Every one will be so outraged that he's gotten away with his crimes once again... someone will surely shoot him.

I'd be kind of sad if he is killed, Stefano is one of the most interesting characters on Days of our Lives.  He is the quintessential villain, and Ian McAllister is no replacement as Salem's leading bad guy.

Favorite quote of the day:

Stefano to the CIA agent that bailed him out:
"They don't like to lose, but by now you'd think they'd be use to it"
