Will Horton Gives Up All Paternity Rights

Ok, so I haven't posted in a while and I don't really have any good excuse except to say that I am lazy.

But!!!

The happenings in Salem this week are just too juicy to stay silent!

Obviously the biggest story is Will succumbing to Nick's insane blackmail demands and signing over his rights to his baby girl.

Incidently - the baby's name was revealed this week in a touching scene between Rafe and his sister.  Gabi and Will's baby will be named Arianna-Grace, in memorium of their deceased sister and Grace, the baby Rafe and Sami cared for, thinking it was her baby.  She died shortly before the truth was revealed about Sidney being Sami's daughter, not Nicole's. I love the name, it's beautiful.

Back to Nick.  I hate him.  I really really hate him.  He is so evil, so calculated, and the acting is so believable that I wonder about the actor... I was getting excited when EJ and Sami were discussing having him axed, I thought maybe we were gearing up for another Salem who-dun-it.  Alas, I don't think this is the case.

I know that I just have to be patient, that all will work out, and Nick will pay for his cruelty, but this story-line makes my skin crawl.  The scene where Nick outright admitted to Will that this was entirely about him being gay was outrageous.  I'm disappointed in the actor that plays Will, I would like to see a broader range of emotions from him.

No one has told Gabi about this turn of events yet, and it will be interesting to see how she reacts to the news.  Will is suppose to act like it was his decision, but will he be able to fool his long time friend?  Or will she choose to believe him because it's what she truly wants?

What will happen if (I should say when) she finds out that Nick is blackmailing Will to keep him out of his daughter's life?  What about when she hears that it's because he's such a bigot, he doesn't want "their" daughter to be exposed to "those" people?

I can't wait to see if the plan Sami and EJ have concocted will work out.  When it comes to Sami, anything that can go wrong might very well go wrong.  I would like to see her succeed sometimes though.  Her character is written as strong and very smart, but they are constantly making her do senseless things.  Now that she's teamed up with EJ, the two of them should be able to fix this little Nick issue.  Lord knows they are two of Salem's best schemers...

If all else fails, perhaps the dude who's about to be released from jail and is obviously related to Nick's stabbing will come finish the job...

One can only hope. ;)

Nicole Walker Sets Her Sights On Father Eric

What would Days of our Lives be without major drama?  We like to see the characters happy, but only for a little while, because happy gets boring, and fast.

What keeps us coming back, day after day, is the never ending drama, of course.

Fun things happening in Salem this week:

Nick Fallon purchased surveillance equipment in an effort to gather evidence that it was Will, not Lucas, that shot EJ.  I'm not sure where this storyline is going, but I have a feeling there will be one heck of a custody battle over this little girl, and there is no telling how far Nick is willing to go to get what he wants.  There's something a little sociopathic about this guy, and I just don't trust him.

Cloe is doing everything she can to get between Jen and Daniel, her newly discovered baby daddy.  I wanted to see Daniel with Nicole, so I'm not really sure where I stand here.

And...

Not that I didn't totally see this coming, but today's episode revealed that Nicole is having "feelings" for Father Eric.  Nicole was Eric's first love, way back when, but she dumped him when Kate offered her five million dollars to marry Lucas.  It's only a matter of time until the good priest breaks his vows, as it's obvious he still finds her hard to resist.

DOOL writers sure have been pushing the envelope lately...  good on them.

Will and Gaby's Baby Is A Girl!

So happy to finally see Will owning his role as a parent!

Can Lucas get Sami to behave so that the two families can find peace and work together to raise this child?  Can Will win Sunny back?  I hope so.  Personally, I feel like he's being too hard on Will.  He needs to stop being so selfish and forgive him already.

What's going to happen with Nick?  Am I the only one getting slightly concerned with what he's going to do next?  He was uncharacteristically nice to Will today, and it feels more like the calm before the storm that the real deal.

I have a feeling Will needs to watch his back, or he might find his cousin Nick stabbing him in it!!!  I think he's going to go full-psycho on us again... and it will all be lots of fun to watch!

I wonder what they'll name the baby?  Perhaps Arianna, in honor of Gaby and Rafe's dead sister?  Or maybe Grace, in honor of Will's dead sister...

What do you think they should name her?

Can Will Go Through With Gaby's Plan

So if you've been following the insanity in Salem, you know that Gaby is pregnant.

You also know that Will is the father of that child but has decided to go along with Nick's insane plan to pass the baby off as his own.  Will Salemites ever learn?  Will himself keeps saying this is a bad idea, that his own mother did that with him and it was a disaster.  Yet he's saying he'll do it.

Obviously this poorly laid plan will blow up in everyone's faces, and I for one am dying to see Sami's face when she realizes she's going to be or already is a grandmother.  Depending of course on how long it take for the truth to be revealed.  I'm hoping it's sooner rather than later as the storyline is kind of dumb.

Also, have you been following this whole Kristen Dimera storyline?  This affair between her and Brady is wrong on so many levels.  Not the least of which: she used to be his mommy!!!

Is anyone else icked out by this?  What is it with Brady and his romantic choices anyway?

Grandma Sami?

It's been too long since I posted, the daily dish is turning into the monthly dish... I will endeavour to do better!

Lot's has been going on in the past two weeks, and it's all pretty exciting!
From DOOL FB Page

Gabby is pregnant, and Sami was there with her when she found out.  What Sami doesn't know is that the baby is Will's.  I wonder how she'd feel about being called Grandma?

(As an aside, what the heck is wrong with Sami's hair in the past two episodes?  Is the hairstylist on vacation?  Maybe on crack?)

Anyway, I digress.

So Sami being Sami, she couldn'y keep the secret, and she told Rafe about the pregnancy today.  I actually laughed out loud at the face he made after Sami finally spilled the beans.

I love it when sh*t hits the fan on Days, don't you?

True to herself, Sami also managed to spill Gaby's secret to her new boyfriend, Nick.  His face was priceless too, considering he assumes it's his... Wonder what face he'll make when he finds out it's not?

I've got to hand it to Days of Our Lives writers and producers, they have been pushing the envelope lately, and I think it's really cool that the show seems to be evolving with the times.  Adding gay characters, the love scene between Sunny and Will, and now this pregnancy story line.

Gaby has decided that she wants an abortion, but we still don't know if that's going to happen.

At the end of today's show, Will was still trying to put enough money together to pay for it.  He also spoke about the money before noticing his dad standing right there.

Now Lucas has questions, and Sami, Rafe & Nick will be desperately trying to find Gaby... I don't know if the abortion will actually take place, but I'm hoping it doesn't, because it would make for some great writing down the line...

What I really can't wait to see it the look on Sami's face when she finds out the baby is Will's!!!

From DOOL FB Page
Ooh! ooh!  I was forgetting all about Kristen.  We got our first bit of proof that Marlena's paranoia is justified today!!!  After John got angry at his precious Doc for erasing Kristen's messages informing him of Brady's attack, Marlena went off on Kristen, calling her a conniving bitch.  John didn't like this and came to Kristen's defense, only getting angrier with the usually saintly Marlena.

When Kristen found Marlena alone a little later in the episode, she walked up behind her and told her, in a hushed tone: "I'm only going to say one more thing: Thank you."  Then she smiled and walked away...

That conniving bitch, what has she got planned now?!  LOL

Have you been enjoying these story lines as much as I have?

EJ Blackmails Rafe To Win Sami

We've been watching Sami play Russian Roulette with the men in her life for a little while now...

Lucas got shot first, and now our last two contenders have entered a fight to the death, with an actual fist fight between Rafe and EJ.

Seems EJ has found a way to keep Rafe at arms length, at least for the time being, by blackmailing him.

Once a Dimera, always a Dimera I suppose.

It's disappointing to me, because EJ is so charming and he and Sami are so hot together. I keep rooting for him to actually turn a new page, and he always has to go and muck it up. Boo.

What's he blackmailing him with?

He's promised to keep his brother Chad from testifying against Rafe's little sister in exchange for Rafe giving up on Sami. (Cause you know, psycho Barbie almost caused Melanie's death.)

Clearly, this plan will blow up in EJ's face at some point, perhaps as he's about to say his I do's with his darling Samantha.

Then Sami and Rafe can finally be together... Until Sami screws up again or Carrie comes back to town anyway.

The scene after Sami left Rafe's apartment was just m.
In a fit of rage, Rafe threw a bottle of beer at the wall in his living room.

Wait what???

Who throws a bottle of beer clear across their own living room?!
I don't care how mad you are, do you have any idea how long it would take to get the stench of beer out of that apartment?

That's just sautéed in wrong sauce.

Much love,
Felicia

Reunited in Salem

Ah... Wasn't it sweet to watch all of the reunions going on in Salem yesterday?

First, Melanie and Chad (didn't Gaby just look thrilled). Then Melanie and Daniel (I cried, but then I'm a big suck).

Daniel found Nicole in the town square, and Bo arrived just in time with the meds so that dr D could stop her labor pains and save the baby (thank heavens).

But the big news of the day... EJ and Sami locked in a passionate embrace! EJ said something to the effect that they'd been resisting each other for too long, and that he gives up. I'm sorry but their chemistry is palpable, and they are HOT together.

Much love,
Felicia

Ian McAllister Killed Stefano Dimera on Days of Our Lives!

There's so much going on in Salem!

It seemed clear that today's post should be titled "2 dead, several injured in Salem explosion", but that breaking news was blown out of the water when Ian announced to Kate that he is the one who murdered Stefano Dimera!

Of course, the episode ended at that point and we'll have to wait until tomorrow to hear more.  I'd just like to point out that I singled him out as my prime suspect from the get go.  This isn't my first who-dun-it in Salem, and it probably won't be my last!

Now EJ, Sami and Will just need to find proof so they can clear EJ's name.  Will Kate help her former step-son?  This is far from over, and odds are the truth won't be revealed until EJ's about to get fried.  It happened to John, and to Sami... I can't think of anyone else, can you?

In other news...

The Salem explosion has claimed two lives so far:  Brady Black's fiancee, Madison, and Jack Deveraux, husband to Jennifer and father to Abigail and JJ, whom we haven't seen in years.  Could his fathers death be what brings him back to Salem?  We'll just have to wait and see.

The scene after the elevator Jack was in plummeted was quite touching, my eyes teared up as Abigail screamed out in pure anguish.  The acting has actually been quite impressive this week.

Brady is still in the tunnels with Melanie, so he has no idea his beloved Madison is gone forever.  On what was suppose to be their wedding day, I don't know how Brady will survive.  Let's hope he doesn't turn back to drugs.

He and Mel finally broke through the wall that had them trapped at the end of the episode, just as Chad and Gaby showed up.  Melanie and Brady were hugging, and Chad just looked jealous.  It was actually kind of weird.  Why in the world would he be jealous?  She's just gone through a terrible ordeal, and she was hugging her friend.

Probably will turn out to be nothing, when the scene starts again I'm sure Chad will be thrilled to find his darling Melanie.

Can't wait to see Gaby squirm when the questions start!

Olympics Finally Ending, Back To Your Regularly Scheduled Programming

Finally!

Only two more days to go until Days of Our Lives is back on the air!

This time has made me feel bad for Another World and General Hospital fans. It's only been two weeks, and I am in serious withdrawal.

Dying to find out who makes it and who's mangled!

And watch Gaby squirm when the truth is revealed!

What are you most looking forward to?

Much love,
Felicia

Days of Our Lives Interrupted By The Summer Olympics

Stupid summer Olympics.

Just as things are getting good, in come the Summer Olympics, and Days of Our Lives will not be seen for two straight weeks!  Two weeks!

I've always hated the Olympics for messing with my TV programming, but I honestly don't remember DOOL being interrupted for more than a few days at a time.

This is almost like a season finale, and the writers sure decided to treat it as such.

Friday's episode was action packed, with more happening in a single episode than often happens over the course of a month!

Of course, the huge explosion at the very end of the episode, which showed half of Salem blowing up is the major story.  Will Sami survive the fall from the warehouse balcony?  Will Dr. Dan be okay after being smashed to bits by the world's biggest chandelier?  What about Abby plummeting to her premature death in an elevator?  Will Nicole's baby be OK?  It better be.  I can't stand to see this poor woman lose another child!

How will those in the tunnels fair?  The explosion happened moments after Brady found Melanie, and he through himself on her, forming a human shield around her, but what will happen to him?

And what of Gaby, Chad and her lunatic stalker for hire Andrew, who seemed to be at the epicenter of the explosion?

In the real world, it's unlikely that any of these people would survive, but this is Days of Our Lives, and I highly doubt half the cast is leaving the show on the same day.  I could scour the internet for spoilers, checking out who's contract is up and such, but I don't like knowing what's going to happen in advance.

Half the fun is trying to predict where things are going, and congratulating yourself on being so astute when you happen to get it right!

Once the dust settles and we figure out who made it, who died and who's in the hospital, there will still be many other issues to deal with.

Who is trying to frame EJ Dimera for Stefano's murder?  I was thinking Ian McAllister, but I'm starting to have a sneaking suspicion that maybe, just maybe... it's Stefano himself.  You heard it here first.

In the mean time, how much trouble will Sami be in over trying to help EJ escape, so he can "clear his name?"  Well, this was one heck of a genius plan, now wasn't it?  (She said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.)

I am excited to see that it seems like this means the end of the dull-as-a-doorknob relationship between Lucas and Sami, and that this should mean she'll soon be back with EJ where she belongs.

Oh and oh what fun we'll have when the sh*t finally hits the fan for Gaby?!  I know Melanie's supposed to leave the show, but I really hope it won't be in a body bag, because I'd really like to see the scene when she finds out what her alleged friend did just to get her hands on Chad.

Can you say C-R-A-Z-Y?

Anyway, it will be a whole two weeks before me know anything... Boo.  Oh well, it will give me a chance to catch up on the close to 100 hours of TV I have waiting on the PVR!

I guess to the stars and staff of Days of Our Lives... Enjoy your vacation!

Alexandra Carver Dies

I haven't posted in a few days because I've been kind of bored with the show, but today's episode was packed with action.

Abe and Lexie sat in their garden reminiscing, with Alexandra looking weaker than ever. While I had been fast forwarding most of the mushy scenes with her, I had a feeling she might die today, so I watched the scenes.

She died at peace and happy in her husbands arms, and it was a very sad and touching scene when Abe realized that she was gone.

On the plus side, after the funeral is over, we should be done with the incessant crying!!!

Also on today's episode, Melanie Layton was kidnapped by Gaby's stalker-for-hire.

Where do you find those anyway? Stalkers'R'us?

I had read that she would be leaving the show, but I sure hope they don't kill her off, she's grown on me since joining the cast a few years ago.

Plus, Nick is suppose to be back soon, so I would have liked to see how that reunion would go down!!!

Poor Chad was beside himself when he received an email that was seemingly sent by Melanie letting him know that she can't forgive him and is leaving for Europe... Will anyone even really know to look for her?  Surely her father, Dr. Daniel will know something's up and ring some alarms.  Well hopefully anyway.

They kept focusing on Gaby's evil eyes, so it seems she was in on the plan. This girl needs some serious help, she is completely off her rocker!  Wait until Rafe finds out what she's done... Little girl, you got some serious explaining to do.

It may take a while, but this is Salem, everything comes out eventually.

Marlena Evans to Kill Stefano?

Today's episode was kind of a bore.

Bo and Hope made out all episode while discussing how lucky they were to have each other and how much they hate Stefano... ya, okay, we know.  Thank goodness for the fast forward button... barf

Gaby's still trying to break up Melanie and Chad, and is just annoying.  The whole stalker thing doesn't hold up one bit, yet nobody is calling her on it.  Give me a break.

And Alexandra Carver STILL isn't dead.  If she really is going to kick the bucket, can we get on with it already???  I'm so sick of watching crying scenes!!!

Marlena caught John buying the gun (further setup for the upcoming who-dun-it)...  and made him get rid of it.

Just as I was ready to call the episode a wash, Marlena's last line implied that she may take matters into her own hands.  Another suspect to add to an ever growing list.

On the upside, if Marlena goes to jail, we won't have to watch anymore kissing scenes of her and John.  I don't know who's at fault, but they always seem repulsed when they have to make-out.  It's kind of gross to watch, I wonder if the actors don't get along.
