Throwback Thursday

I'm sitting at the dealership waiting for my car, and guess what I'm watching on tv?

Days of our lives, in French!!!

The episodes are about fifteen years behind, so it's bringing up many memories!

Nicole is about to marry Victor.

Sami is screwing things up with Brandon.

Roman is married to Kate (that was so weird, but no weirder than Kate with Rafe!)

Chloe has leukemia and Nancy is pregnant with Joy, in hopes of saving her.

The old Philip and the old Brady are there.

This is so fun, maybe I'll start watching.

How'd you like that picture of Sami? The make-up was too much, but that was the style back then. Strange how she's barely aged and looks prettier today than she did then!

Will Horton Gives Up All Paternity Rights

Ok, so I haven't posted in a while and I don't really have any good excuse except to say that I am lazy.

But!!!

The happenings in Salem this week are just too juicy to stay silent!

Obviously the biggest story is Will succumbing to Nick's insane blackmail demands and signing over his rights to his baby girl.

Incidently - the baby's name was revealed this week in a touching scene between Rafe and his sister.  Gabi and Will's baby will be named Arianna-Grace, in memorium of their deceased sister and Grace, the baby Rafe and Sami cared for, thinking it was her baby.  She died shortly before the truth was revealed about Sidney being Sami's daughter, not Nicole's. I love the name, it's beautiful.

Back to Nick.  I hate him.  I really really hate him.  He is so evil, so calculated, and the acting is so believable that I wonder about the actor... I was getting excited when EJ and Sami were discussing having him axed, I thought maybe we were gearing up for another Salem who-dun-it.  Alas, I don't think this is the case.

I know that I just have to be patient, that all will work out, and Nick will pay for his cruelty, but this story-line makes my skin crawl.  The scene where Nick outright admitted to Will that this was entirely about him being gay was outrageous.  I'm disappointed in the actor that plays Will, I would like to see a broader range of emotions from him.

No one has told Gabi about this turn of events yet, and it will be interesting to see how she reacts to the news.  Will is suppose to act like it was his decision, but will he be able to fool his long time friend?  Or will she choose to believe him because it's what she truly wants?

What will happen if (I should say when) she finds out that Nick is blackmailing Will to keep him out of his daughter's life?  What about when she hears that it's because he's such a bigot, he doesn't want "their" daughter to be exposed to "those" people?

I can't wait to see if the plan Sami and EJ have concocted will work out.  When it comes to Sami, anything that can go wrong might very well go wrong.  I would like to see her succeed sometimes though.  Her character is written as strong and very smart, but they are constantly making her do senseless things.  Now that she's teamed up with EJ, the two of them should be able to fix this little Nick issue.  Lord knows they are two of Salem's best schemers...

If all else fails, perhaps the dude who's about to be released from jail and is obviously related to Nick's stabbing will come finish the job...

One can only hope. ;)

Stefano Dimera Flips Viewers The Bird

Stefano Dimera isn't content with screwing over Salemites anymore... Now he's coming after you!

I have to wonder if this was intentional, seeing as it happened for a full three seconds at the beginning of Monday's episode. He was seemingly scratching his face... but with his middle finger?

How is it that Days Of Our Lives editors didn't catch this?

If it was intentional, who was it directed at?
